What We Do
Verification System
KOEF manages the National Medicines Verification System (NMVS) in Cyprus.
The system allows medicines to be authenticated by scanning a unique identifier on each pack before it is dispensed.
Patient Safety
The NMVS helps ensure that falsified medicines cannot enter the legal supply chain, strengthening the safety and reliability of medicines available to patients.
EU Compliance
KOEF supports the implementation of the European Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD) and works closely with European partners to maintain a secure verification system.
